Pixel tracking for cash-on-delivery Shopify stores
COD orders fire Purchase before anyone has paid. How to stop Meta optimising toward refused parcels, and the three ways to fix the value you send.
Pixelfy installs and manages every Facebook, Meta, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat and Pinterest pixel on your Shopify store from one dashboard, and mirrors each event server-side through the Conversions API — so the purchases ad blockers and iOS hide from you start reporting again.
The problem
A Meta pixel pasted into theme.liquid only runs on pages your theme controls. Shopify’s checkout is not one of them. The pixel records product views and add-to-carts, then goes quiet at the moment that actually matters, which is why Events Manager shows traffic but no Purchase events.
The second leak is the browser itself. Ad blockers, Safari’s tracking prevention and iOS App Tracking Transparency stop a meaningful share of pixel requests before they reach Meta. Those sales still happen — they just never get attributed, so your ROAS reads low and the algorithm optimises against bad data.
Pixelfy closes both. Pixels install through Shopify’s Web Pixels API, which runs inside checkout and survives a theme change, and every event is mirrored from the server through the Facebook Conversions API, deduplicated so nothing counts twice.
Features
Multi-pixel management, server-side tracking and per-pixel event control, all installed through Shopify’s Web Pixels API instead of your theme.
Shopify’s built-in Facebook channel holds one pixel. Pixelfy holds as many as you need, each with its own event assignment, so an agency pixel and your own can run side by side on the same store.
Read the guide →Ad blockers, Safari and iOS privacy settings drop a large share of browser events. Server-side tracking sends the same events straight to Meta from your store, so those conversions report again.
Read the guide →Browser and server copies of each event carry a matching event ID derived from the Shopify order, so Meta and TikTok keep one and discard the other. Your conversion count stays honest.
Read the guide →Facebook, Meta, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, Pinterest and Taboola pixels live in the same list. Adding a platform means pasting an ID, not installing another app.
Read the guide →ViewContent, AddToCart, InitiateCheckout, Purchase and custom events, assignable per pixel. Meta needs conversion events to leave the learning phase, and page views do not count.

More detail in Shopify custom pixels vs. pixel apps.
Setup
About five minutes, start to finish. You need your pixel ID from Meta Events Manager and, for server-side tracking, an access token.
One click from the listing. No developer, no theme access, no snippet to paste.
Copy each ID from Meta Events Manager or TikTok Events Manager and add it to the list. Add as many as you run.
Tick ViewContent, AddToCart, InitiateCheckout or Purchase per pixel, so each ad account sees only what it should.
Add a Meta access token and server-side tracking starts, deduplicated against the browser pixel.
Platforms
Every pixel type shares the same dashboard and the same event settings, and each one has a reference page covering its ID format, event names and server-side API.

Store setups
Most Shopify stores need the same pixel configuration. A handful do not — because of how they take payment, how often customers reorder, or how many ad accounts they run. If one of these describes you, the standard setup will report the wrong numbers.

FAQ
Copy your pixel ID from Meta Events Manager and paste it into Pixelfy. The pixel installs through Shopify’s Web Pixels API, so it reaches checkout and survives theme changes without any code.
Yes. Shopify’s built-in Facebook channel holds one pixel, but Pixelfy holds an unlimited list and lets you choose which events each pixel receives. Agencies and second ad accounts get their own pixel without sharing yours.
A pixel pasted into your theme cannot run on Shopify’s hosted checkout, so it records browsing and stops before the sale. Installing through the Web Pixels API is what gets the Purchase event back.
It sends events from your store’s server directly to Meta instead of from the shopper’s browser. Ad blockers, Safari and iOS privacy settings cannot intercept a server call, so conversions that were silently lost start reporting again.
All of them, plus Taboola, from the same dashboard. TikTok also runs server-side through its Events API, with the same deduplication Meta gets.
No. Browser and server events are tagged with a shared event ID derived from the Shopify order, so Meta and TikTok keep one copy and discard the other.
Never. Installation asks for a pixel ID and nothing else, and no snippet is added to theme.liquid. Switching themes leaves your tracking untouched.
Pro is $7.99 a month, or $49.99 a year for the same features. Both start with a 7-day free trial and no card is required to begin.
Unlimited Facebook and Meta pixels, Conversions API tracking and deduplicated events for $7.99 a month, after a 7-day free trial.
